The Impact of Social Violence on HIV Risk For Women In Colombia: A Concurrent Methods Study

Catalina Correa-Salazar, PhDc, MSc, Doctoral Fellow, Department of Community Health & Prevention at Dornsife, will present results from a 4-year collaborative university-community partnership in Colombia that seeks to promote women’s and girls’ health.

Correa-Salazar will describe how violence impacts HIV risk in Colombian municipalities for women and explain how exposure to violence endured by Venezuelan migrant and refugee women impacts HIV risk and imposes barriers to HIV prevention and care.
