Dornsife COVID-19 Journal Club Discussion

Monday, February 28, 2022

1:00 PM-2:00 PM

Join a discussion on the paper “Accuracy of CDC Ensemble Model in Predicting COVID-19 Cases and Deaths.”

Drexel MPH students Deiriai Myers, Jenna Carcione, Octavio Alanis and Sarah Weinbrom, AKA the “COVID Coders” will present their work, which was their submission for this year’s SAS Curiosity Cup, an international data science competition. Using publicly available data from the CDC’s ensemble model for COVID-19 prediction, the students compared expected cases to what was observed to identify times when the ensemble model under- or over-estimated COVID-19 cases.

Drexel staff, faculty and students are welcome to take part in this discussion.
