Dornsife COVID-19 Journal Club Discussion

Join a discussion on the paper “The Omicron variant is highly resistant against antibody-mediated neutralization: Implications for control of the COVID-19 pandemic” by Markus Hoffman and colleagues from the Infection Biology Unit of the German Primate Center.

Cecirahim Sesay, Graduate Student in the Dept of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Dornsife, will present the paper which was published ahead of print in Cell (goes to press on February 3rd). The paper explores Omicron’s evasion of neutralizing antibodies by prior infection, two-dose vaccination, three-dose vaccination, heterologous (mixed) vaccination, and therapeutic antibodies.

Drexel staff, faculty and students are welcome to take part in this discussion.
