COVID Journal Club

Monday, January 10, 2022

1:00 PM-2:00 PM

Join a discussion on the paper “Protection afforded by prior infection against SARS-CoV-2 reinfection with the Omicron variant” by Heba Altarawneh and colleagues from Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar.

Michael LeVasseur, PhD, MPH, assistant professor of epidemiology and biostatistics at Dornsife, will present the paper which was uploaded to the MedRxiv preprint server on January 6, 2022. The paper uses a test-negative design matching cases with different variants (alpha, beta, delta) to PCR-negative controls. Controls were matched directly on the basis of sex, 10-year age group, nationality, and calendar time of PCR test (to control for differences in risk exposure).

Drexel staff, faculty and students are welcome to take part in this discussion.
