COVID-19 Prevention in Health Care and in the Community: A Conversation with Frontline Practitioners

In recognition of National Preparedness Month, Drexel University Online and the Dornsife School of Public Health invite you to join a discussion with two frontline practitioners in the response to COVID-19 in Philadelphia.

Moderator:
Esther Chernak MD, MPH, Associate Clinical Professor, Dornsife School of Public Health, and Director, Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication

Featured Speakers:
-Jessica Caum, MPH is the manager of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health Public Health Preparedness Program and has had a leadership role in that department’s COVID-19 response efforts.
-Sarah Smathers is the System Director of Infection Prevention and Control at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and former President of the Delaware Valley /Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).
 
Both speakers are Adjunct faculty at Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health. They will share their perspectives on the pandemic and control measures for COVID-19 in community and health care settings, and highlight lessons learned for professionals in the fields of preparedness and infection prevention and control.
