FIRE Fellowship Reflection Event

Thursday, August 26, 2021

1:00 PM-4:00 PM

The Center for Firefighter Injury Research and Safety Trends (FIRST) is proud to announce the 2021 Reflection Event, marking the 6th year of the Fire service Injury Research, Epidemiology, and Evaluation (FIRE) Fellowship. Fellowship recipients, known as FIRE Fellows, include undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, as well as alumni from Dornsife.

This summer's Fellowship is primarily funded by the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF). The Fellows will share their progress developing a workplace violence (WPV) curriculum for fire fighters, paramedics and EMTs.

Additionally, Senior FIRE Fellow Alexandra Reguinga will present on workplace stress and mental health outcomes among fire department dispatchers. Her work is supported through donations raised during Drexel’s Day of Giving and the 24 Hours of Impact fundraising challenge.
