Identifying Research and Training Needs to Advance Maternal Health Policy and Equity

Tuesday, May 25, 2021

12:00 PM-2:30 PM

The 2021 Drexel MCH Symposium will highlight innovations in policy and practice to address maternal mortality and to identify data, research, and training needs. The symposium is grounded in the need to amplify existing, and identify new, solutions to address persistent inequities in maternal mortality and severe maternal morbidity. The event will include a call to action to increase awareness of and advocate for policies to improve maternal health and pregnancy outcomes. This event will engage policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and students focused on maternal and child health equity.

This event is hosted by the Maternal and Child Health Catalyst Program at the Drexel Dornsife School of Public Health and PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, who are currently partnering within the Maternal and Child Health Research, Training, and Practice Collaborative along with the Drexel Urban Health Collaborative and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Our goal is to prioritize data-informed and partner-informed approaches to addressing maternal and child health challenges in Philadelphia.
