Maternal Smoking and Vaping During Pregnancy

In this joint research seminar, Xi Wang, PhD, Research Associate II, PolicyLab, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, will discuss three recent studies on maternal smoking and vaping during pregnancy using data from U.S. national samples:

  • A study on the heterogeneous effect of maternal smoking on gestational hypertension by the timing of the exposure
  • A probabilistic bias analysis on the potential impact of measurement error in self-reported maternal smoking status
  • A study on the use of electronic cigarettes (vaping) using 2016 PRAMS data
This research seminar is presented by the department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and the department Environmental and Occupational Health at Dornsife.
