Examining Global Epidemics at the Mütter Museum

Saturday, March 14, 2020

10:00 AM-12:00 PM

Drexel Alumni invites you to a lecture and brunch in conjunction with the Mütter Museum exhibit Spit Spreads Death, which chronicles the historic Spanish Influenza that killed 20,000 Philadelphians in six months.

Mary Hovinga, PhD, MPH, and Thersa Sweet, PhD, MPH, both associate professors of epidemiology and biostatistics in Drexel's Dornsife School of Public Health, will lead a riveting discussion about epidemics past and present, how they evolved, and how what we learned informs our global efforts now. Afterwards, explore the exhibits of the Mütter at your leisure.
