This is an opportunity for students and public health professionals to connect and network. Professionals are invited to share information about their organization and experiences to help students explore work environments, industries, and public health career paths over coffee.
This event’s guest, Kathryn McNamara, is a 2016 graduate of Dornsife, earning a MPH in Environmental and Occupational Health. Kathryn now works as an Environmental Health Officer with the United States Public Health Service at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.
Speaker Bio:
LT Kathryn McNamara, MPH, is an an Environmental Health Officer with the United States Public Health Service. She is stationed at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, where she works as an Industrial Hygienist in the Division of Occupational Health and Safety. Her job duties include managing industrial hygiene and safety programs for the NIH's community of patients, researchers, and support staff. LT McNamara also deploys as a safety officer during natural disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and humanitarian missions. She is a 2016 graduate of the Dornsife School of Public Health, where she earned her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Environmental and Occupational Health.
