The department of Environmental and Occupational Health presents David Goldsmith, PhD, professor at George Washington University and vice president of Workplace Without Borders U.S. Branch. He will discuss three examples of projects and will describe projects addressing improving work conditions in Michigan nail salons (with a focus on Vietnamese businesses); awareness of silica dust hazards among Nepal brick makers; and developing policies for combatting children’s involvement in gold mining in the Philippines, Africa, and South America.
