The development of new medicines to address unmet medical needs involves complex and highly regulated work performed via collaborations with medical centers / institutions, biotech, pharmaceutical companies and health authorities across the globe. The field of clinical research has vast professional opportunities, however, many of these are not well known to students today as they are developing their career paths. Jennifer Sheller, head of North America Country Operations at Merck, will be sharing some insights into the work done in drug development, the profession of the clinical research associate, her personal journey & recommendations to learn more/gain experience.
