Speaker: Diederik Lohman, Director of the Health and Human Rights Division at Human Rights Watch
 
Lohman is an internationally recognized expert on palliative care in low and middle income settings, and has conducted research and advocacy on the issue in countries such as Senegal, Mexico, Ukraine, India, Morocco, Armenia and Guatemala. He has also spearheaded advocacy campaigns on the issue at the U.N. Commission on Narcotic Drugs, the International Narcotics Control Board, the World Health Organization and other international institutions.
