Pursuing health disparities from the neighborhood to the bench and back again: The view from the streets of Baltimore

Dr. Evans work focuses on examining various etiological factors that may drive health disparities by conducting observational epidemiologic studies but with special focus on understanding the underlying molecular and biological factors that may create a specific susceptibility or underlie dysfunctional interactions between the environment and the health of individuals over time. 

Dr. Evans talk will focus on selected findings from the Healthy Aging in Neighborhoods of Diversity across the Life Span (HANDLS) study relevant to ongoing laboratory and epidemiologic aims.
