Monday, May 22, 2017

12:00 PM-1:00 PM

Michelle Kondo, PhD, scientist at the USDA Forest Service in Philadelphia, will present at this Environmental and Occupational Health seminar.

Dr. Kondo’s research focuses on environmental strategies for disease, violence and injury prevention in the context of legacy cities faces with declining population and resources. She will discuss findings from her studies on the impacts of urban greening and blight remediation programs - such as vacant lot greening, abandoned building remediation, green storm water infrastructure, and tree plantings - on human health and safety outcomes.
