The Art of Risk Taking

Wednesday, May 17, 2017

12:00 PM-2:00 PM

Caitie Whelan knows how to take risks; she left her job for self-employment, she co-founded a school for lower caste musicians in India and she raised pigs in Italy.  Now she helps others capture this spirit enabling them to go after what they want.  “The Art of Risk-Taking” is a high-energy, interactive workshop aiming to help students explore how to make the most of their practicum and CBMP experiences by taking healthy risks consistent with the values of emerging public health professionals.  Come prepared to consider success in new ways, to break through obstacles to risk, and craft meaning for your practical experiences, no matter what it is you’ll be doing for the 120 hour practicum or looking ahead to CBMP.

This workshop is mandatory and limited to all first year MPH students.

Event is hosted by Dornsife School of Public Health's Office of Practice and Office of Student Services
