Understanding Disparities in Health Insurance:U.S.-born Children with Undocumented Immigrant Parents

Jessie Kemmick Pintor, PhD, postdoctoral fellow at the UC Davis Center for Healthcare Policy and Research will speak at this Health Management and Policy seminar, U.S.-born Children with Undocumented Immigrant Parents: A Mixed-Methods Approach to Identifying and Understanding Disparities in Health Insurance.

Pintor will discuss her research that explores immigration and health policy, the policy and sociological dimensions of healthcare disparities, and the effectiveness of population health interventions. In this seminar, she will demonstrate how her mixed-methods, interdisciplinary approach addresses the unique challenges of research on healthcare access for mixed-status families, using data from both large demographic surveys and qualitative interviews.
