Urban Health Collaborative Research Seminar: Hannah Lawman

This Urban Health Collaborative research seminar will feature Hannah Lawman, PhD, Director of Research and Evaluation, Division of Chronic Disease Prevention, Get Healthy Philly, Philadelphia Department of Public Health. Dr. Lawman's work emphasizes multi-sectoral and population health approaches including changes to the built environment and policy approaches to chronic disease prevention, such as improving nutrition, physical activity, and access to smoke-free spaces.
Her talk is titled "Philadelphia Public Health Policy Wins in 2016: Evaluation plans for the Beverage Tax and Tobacco Retailer Permit Regulations."
Research Seminar Series
The research seminar series provides opportunities to learn about new areas in urban health research and explores ways research can impact practice and policy in urban settings.
The Drexel Urban Health Collaborative works to improve health in cities by increasing scientific knowledge and public awareness of health and health variation within cities, and by promoting urban policies and partnerships that promote health and reduce health inequalities.
