Simone Robinson-Parker, M.A.

(she/her/hers)
Doctoral Student

Simone Robinson-Parker, M.A. (she/her/hers) is a fifth-year doctoral student in Seton Hall University's APA-accredited Counseling Psychology Ph.D. Program. With extensive clinical experience across diverse settings—including university counseling centers, university hospitals, outpatient community mental health clinics, veterans’ affairs hospitals, forensic private practice, and both psychodiagnostic and neuropsychological assessment environments—Simone brings a depth of knowledge and cultural sensitivity to her work.

Simone is passionate about working with university students through a context-driven lens that centers their unique lived experiences and personal narratives. She is especially attuned to the importance of intersectional identity—both visible and less visible—and strives to create an affirming, inclusive space that honors the complexity of each student’s story. Simone has strong interests in supporting international students, immigrant communities across generations, first-generation college students, BIPOC individuals, and those navigating impostor phenomenon and the complex demands of academic life.

As an international student herself—from Jamaica—Simone brings a deeply personal understanding to her clinical approach. She values a relational framework, focusing on cultivating a strong therapeutic alliance, identifying patterns across students’ lifespan, and supporting students in their meaning-making processes. Her work is grounded in social justice, multiculturalism, a decolonial and liberatory framework, with a critical lens on how systemic factors shape personal and collective experiences.

Outside of the clinical space, Simone enjoys gardening—both flowers and vegetables—spending quality time with family and friends, cooking Jamaican cuisine, spending time in nature, reading, listening to music, and occasionally unwinding with a good reality TV show.
