Julie Hang, PsyD

Staff Psychologist
Counseling Center

Julie earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Widener University after completing APA-accredited internships at Delaware Psychiatric Center and Swarthmore College’s Counseling Center. Julie has clinical experience working with students from various college counseling centers and treatment settings, including high schools, inpatient hospitals, and outpatient community mental health.

Julie prioritizes the lived experiences of students by holding space to explore how their lives are shaped by their intersecting identities. This includes unpacking personal and generational histories, identifying patterns throughout one’s life, as well as exploring and empowering identity development. Julie believes in the capacity for individuals to grow and opens up space for students to process their experiences and the impact of social inequality. She is especially passionate about multiculturalism, first- and second-generation experiences, trauma and resilience, navigating life transitions, as well as supporting students in unraveling perfectionism and imposter syndrome.
