Monicka Fosnocht, NMD LPC (She/Her/Hers)

Part-Time Therapist

Monicka Fosnocht, NMD LPC earned a dual Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Master’s in Clinical Counseling and Health Psychology from Bastyr University, California in 2021. She returned to her home state of PA after working in private practice and at San Diego State University’s Counseling & Psychological Services for four years. She has clinical experience in integrative and holistic mental health and wellness, including biofeedback, neurofeedback, nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle counseling. Monicka is passionate about providing genuine, flexible, individualized care for all and, as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she aims to create safe, compassionate spaces for all individuals and identities to explore, experiment, grow, and be their true selves. She approaches therapy collaboratively and with openness, focusing on holistically supporting students in learning about themselves and others in a way that encourages their unique goals and well-being.

Clinical interests include communication/interpersonal effectiveness in relationships, managing intense emotions, finding a healthy lifestyle balance, mindfulness, treating co-occurring mental and physical health conditions, and navigating identity and self-esteem issues. Monicka wishes she was brave enough to seek counseling in college and admires the courage it takes to reach out to others and enlist support.

Outside of work, Monicka loves to sing and write music, create art, play games (outdoor, board games, etc.), get outside and moving in any way she can, eat ramen noodles, and spend quality time with friends and family, including her adventurous two-year-old, Mia.
