Madeleine Ding, MS

(she/her/hers)
Doctoral Intern

Maddy (she/her) is a fifth year Counseling Psychology student doing her final year of doctoral training at Drexel's Counseling Center. She was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, before heading out West to get her bachelors degree at Claremont McKenna College in Southern California. Prior to coming to Philly, she has been attending the University at Albany, where she has both received her masters and is in the process of getting her doctorate in Counseling Psychology.

Maddy has experience in providing individual and group therapy to adults going through a wide range of difficulties like anxiety, depression, trauma, relational challenges, ADHD and Autism, as well as acculturation and identity-related issues. She takes a collaborative, empathetic, and person-centered approach to therapy that seeks to meet you where you are while supporting you in moving toward your values for the life you want to live. Her style of therapy generally focuses on working with clients to explore how formative life experiences can shape how we relate to one another and find ways to be in healthier community with each other. She is committed to reckoning with how systems of power and the complexities of being a person inevitably color all spaces, including the therapy room.

Outside of work, Maddy loves outdoor time with her pup Ferris, rock-climbing, good food, and quality time with loved ones. She is also an aspiring plant parent and knick-knack collector.
