Project STAR

Project STAR is an NIH-funded trial of a new healthy lifestyle program for teens ages 14-18 who are of higher weight and have sleep programs. The study involves four months of virtual group sessions (held over Zoom), in which teens will learn skills to improve their sleep habits, their diets, increase their physical activity, and lead a healthier and happier life overall. Groups will be made of 5-10 participants and will be led by two coaches.

Project STAR also involves assessments intended to see how effective the group treatment sessions are. These assessments will occur before group treatment begins, halfway through treatment, and at the end of treatment.

Group sessions and assessments will take place over Zoom. We are recruiting participants from anywhere in the U.S. to participate.
