February 22, 2016 — Dip into a range of works by some of the greatest European composers during the University Orchestra’s free-to-the-public performance on March 11 at 7:30pm (Main Auditorium, 31st & Chestnut Streets).International Roots II will feature Hector Berlioz' Roman Carnival Overture, Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No 1, and Antonin Dvoraks romantic Symphony No. 8 in G major.

The Drexel University Orchestra is a full symphony orchestra of strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion. Their repertoire, presented through quarterly concerts, consists of works from the standard orchestral repertoire and has included symphonies, suites and overtures by Beethoven, Wagner, Mozart, Bizet, Bach, Brahms, and Mahler.
