ARRI ALEXA WORKSHOP
Drexel’s Film & Television program partnered with Alkemy-X to bring their ARRI ALEXA to campus for a workshop as part of our Advanced Technology course, taught by professor David Schwartz. The workshop took place over two weeks, with the first devoted to shooting with the ALEXA on campus and the second on post workflows at Alkemy-X’s digital intermediate suite.
“It is important that our students become familiar with the latest technologies in order to hit the ground running in the real world,” states interim program director, Tom Quinn. “We are grateful to Alkemy-X for investing their time and resources in the future of our students. The ALEXA is an exciting camera and real thrill to work with up close.”
“It made me understand how much design was going into cameras and why we are being introduced to so many different ones. “ adds sophomore, Carson Gordon. “The C-300, Blackmagic’s, RED Epic, the Alexa – each one is a useful tool for the right job.”
