Lateefa Smith is a Strategic Planning Manager & Agency Lead for NBCUniversal’s National Advertising Sales Division. As a Subject Matter Expert for CNBC Prime, Direct Response - Digital and an Agency Planning Lead for Small Business Growth and API, she is responsible for strategically pricing across NBCU’s Linear and Digital Portfolio.

Lateefa is a Philadelphia Native, holding an MS in Television & Media Management from Drexel University and a B.A in Film and Media Arts from Temple University. Prior to her graduate studies, she moved to Los Angeles working for PBS, CBS & FOX as a Production Assistant. During her time in production, she realized there was more to Media & Entertainment and mastering the business side of television was next on her list.

Upon returning to Philadelphia, Lateefa worked for Comcast Business as a Tech Account Executive. During her graduate studies, her thesis focused on the lack of African American representation in the Writer’s room. At the end of her research, Lateefa concluded that the lack of African American leadership is where the problem exists. After graduating from Drexel's MS in Television & Media Management Program, Lateefa moved to New York City to begin her career at NBCUniversal with the goal to lead a team over time. In four years, Lateefa worked her way up from an Account Service Representative to a Strategic Planning Manager and Agency Lead for both Linear and Digital properties within the NBCU portfolio.

Lateefa is now working to create a space for children to learn Media in Philadelphia, where she resides with her Cockapoo, Breezy, while working for NBCU.
