Liv Shoup (she/her) is a writer, comedian, and educator who has been associated with Drexel for 10 lovely years. She’s held a lot of titles at Drexel – as a student, she was secretary of Drexel Players, and as an adult she has worked as a House Manager, Audience Services Coordinator, teaching assistant, adjunct instructor, and now Department Coordinator. Whew! Since her graduation in 2020, she has been writing plays nonstop, many of which have been performed all around the country. Her two-woman comedy Girlfails, which originated as a Drexel senior project, was published with 1319 Press this February (and is available to read in the Performing Arts Office, hint hint!). Liv spent part of this summer in Spokane, Washington workshopping her new play Trauma Queen, which she proceeded to perform in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival this September. She’s very excited to kick off this fall term in a new role where she gets to spend even more time with the faculty, staff, and students she adores.
