Andrea Modica's photographs are exhibited internationally and her work is in many prominent collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. She is a Guggenheim Fellow, a Fulbright Scholar, a Knight Award winner and the recipient of many other prestigious awards both for her fine art and editorial work. Professor Modica’s photographs have been featured in many publications, including the New York Times Magazine, the New Yorker, Newsweek and American Photo. Her twelve books, including Minor League and Treadwell have been met with critical acclaim. Her most recent monographs are titled As We Wait, January 1, and Lentini.

Professor Modica taught photography at the State University of New York College at Oneonta for thirteen years, as well as holding positions at Princeton University and the Parsons School of Design. She continues to teach workshops at the International Center for Photography and the Maine Media Workshops.
