Maureen DeSimone is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Design & Merchandising at Drexel University. In this role, she is responsible for teaching the required fashion industry skills of merchandising, retail analytics, and buying. With her corporate background in iconic brands including Kenneth Cole, she gives students the mentoring and experiential learning experience with industry-focused projects, trips to retailers and conventions, and seminars with industry guest speakers. Students learn the tools of retail with analytic software programs and group project collaboration.

Prior to joining Drexel University, Maureen spent over twenty years in the fashion industry holding various senior executive leadership roles in sales, merchandising, and creating and selling products for multimillion-dollar brands including Kenneth Cole, Ralph Lauren, NYDJ, and Liz Claiborne. Maureen’s professional areas of expertise include sales, brand and portfolio strategy, merchandising, new business startups, revenue and profit growth, team building, and leadership.
