DC continues to be involved with the Philadelphia Design community. For the past fourteen years, she has worked with many designers throughout the city doing technical design, sample and production knitting, as well as jewelry design/making. Her focus on craft, together with her formal education from Drexel University in Fashion Design (2011-2014) inspired her to start her own fashion design label, Neutral States Clothing. Although her expertise lies in knitted structures, she gained great respect for woven fabrics while attending Drexel University for her M.S. Her creative focus now encompasses bringing knits and wovens together to form balance, both with material used and silhouette. Her use of mixed materials and study of structure continues to inform her teaching practices at Drexel University.
