Mat currently works for the University of Chicago in the Math Department where he oversees web content, graphic design, and advertising among other things. He previously worked for Target as a Sr. Team Lead in one of Chicago's first small-format stores and subsequently trained the leaders and team members for each new small format store in the city, a total of ten, before he transitioned to his current position. After the MS in Retail & Merchandising, his newest adventure will be opening a home decor store with interior design services in the hopes to "democratize interior design.” He currently lives in Chicago, IL with his partner Lamont and their sweet pup Finn.
