2022 AAAS Meeting E-Poster Competition Opportunity for Drexel Students!

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is hosting their annual meeting in Philadelphia, and online, on February 17-20, 2022! They are currently accepting abstracts for the Student E-Poster Competition which will take place virtually. This is an exciting opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students to showcase their work on a national scale and participate in one of the world's largest general scientific gatherings!

The Office of Research & Innovation will cover the cost of abstract submission ($25) for full-time Drexel students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs. To have the submission fee paid, students must first submit their abstract to the internal competition via the Drexel Funding Portal (InfoReady) by Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Students will receive notification and further instructions by Friday, September 10, 2021.

Students must also submit their abstract via the official 2022 AAAS Meeting Student E-Poster Competition website by Tuesday, September 14, 2021. It is recommended that students start a submission on the AAAS website now and hold their submission until they have received notification of submission fee coverage from Drexel's internal competition. Students can access their draft submission and submit any time through the September 14 deadline.

An advisor must also certify that the student has completed the work and is/was enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at the time. Students should alert their advisor that they will receive an email requesting verification. This notice can sometimes end up in the Spam folder.

The Office of Research & Innovation will also cover the full cost of registration for Drexel students selected to present!

The winners in each category of the E-Poster Competition, "…will receive a cash award of $500, a one-year AAAS membership that includes a digital subscription to the journal Science, name and poster title printed and published in Science, and a recognition certificate (total prize value is up to $565)."
