Drexel University is a collaborating with institutions, organizations and companies on an initiative to leverage, grow and promote Greater Philadelphia’s growing cell and gene therapy and connected health sectors.
The objective of the initiative is to build on the history of discovery in these areas to strengthen the region’s innovation economy. This is also an opportunity for Drexel’s research and educational missions to contribute this effort. Therefore, the Office of Research and Innovation is seeking information from our scholarly community on the basic and applied research being conducted at Drexel in the areas of (1) cell and gene therapies and (2) connected health.

Project Awardees — COVID-19 Rapid Response Research & Development Fund

Drexel's Rapid Response Research & Development Fund was designated for urgent action, short-term projects focused on COVID-19 related health and health-related research and development.
The enthusiasm and the level of response to the Rapid Response Research & Development Fund was incredible. We received 40 submissions. With only a limited amount of funding available, selecting projects amongst this strong group of submissions was very challenging.
