SPARK is a 24 hour (Nov. 14-15) think-tank style competition giving you the chance to solve real-world problems alongside professional engineers, scientists and industry representatives.

Hosted by Drexel's Institute for Energy and the Environment (IExE), Villanova University, Temple University, University of Pennsylvania, Haverford College and national engineering company Ramboll, students will be asked to develop solutions that meet industry needs.

The competition is open to Drexel undergraduate and master’s students of all disciplines interested in creating solutions to energy, water and environmental issues.

Working in multi-disciplinary teams, students will have the chance to win cash prizes, develop a solution that may actually be implemented and network with industry representatives.

Participating companies include Comcast, Merck, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and others. Space is limited and based on the prior two years the selection process will be competitive.

This year’s competition will be held at Comcast in Center City on Thursday evening (Nov. 14th) and all-day Friday (Nov. 15th) at a Center City Philadelphia hotel. Attendance is required for both Thursday evening and all-day Friday.
