Human Research Protection Program Information and Tools Refresh

For those conducting human subject research, on January 2, 2020 the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP), Institutional Review Board (IRB) will launch updated, user-friendly webpages. These include new regulatory and streamlined submission documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), templates, worksheets, checklists, guidance, and forms that should help to expedite the IRB process. Early January, we will announce trainings on procedural updates, resources and tools which will be conducted both in-person and online.
Call for Volunteer Peer Reviewers

The Office of Research & Innovation is recruiting faculty to become volunteer Peer Reviewers of both internal and limited submission applications.
With the expanded use of the Drexel University Funding Portal, the process of reviewing proposals is easy and efficient. Reviewers are assigned to read through proposals, then use evaluation criteria to rate and provide feedback on each submission. This is all done virtually through the funding portal.
Training on New Research Intelligence Tools

The Office of Research and Innovation and the Office of Institutional Advancement have invested in two Elsevier solutions in support of the research enterprise: Scopus and SciVal.
On Tuesday, December 10, 2019, Elsevier will be on-site to provide a hands-on introduction to these two solutions.
