National Research Administrators Day

September 25, 2019

Dear Colleagues,

September 25th marks National Research Administrators Day, a day that we recognize the contributions made by research administrators every day. National Research Administrators Day was designed to acknowledge how administrators regularly support the faculty and researchers in their work, protect our institution's research reputation, and ensure the sound stewardship of sponsored research dollars.

Our research administrators and managers are essential to Drexel's research enterprise. Not only are our administrators ensuring sound management of sponsored projects through working closely with and assisting our various principal investigators on campus, but also, they ensure the quality of our research. From protecting human and animal research subjects, mitigating many types of risk through our various compliance programs, supporting the submission of proposals and setting up of awards in every department at Drexel, to handling the day-to-day of grant income and expenditures, there are many things for which to thank our research administrators. Undoubtedly, their service to the research enterprise does not go unnoticed and has unquestionably contributed to our university reaching the coveted R1 status.

In recognition of all their efforts and their critical contributions in supporting the research enterprise, we say thank you to all the research administration staff within our departments, colleges/schools, Research Accounting Services, and the Office of Research. Please join me in taking a moment to thank our research administration colleagues.

Happy Research Administrators Day!
