"Workspace" for Federal Proposal Submissions

January 8, 2018

As announced in the August issue of the Office of Research newsletter, legacy PDF applications are no longer being accepted by as of December 31, 2017. Instead, applications to federal agencies (other than NIH and NSF*) now must be submitted via the Workspace platform, a shared, online environment where multiple members of a grant team may simultaneously access different forms within an application. The platform will allow users to edit, save, upload, and submit applications via the cloud.

To prepare for the transition to Workspace, in-person workshops were offered to Drexel faculty and staff who intend to submit proposals to federal grantors (other than NIH and NSF*) in October and December 2017. Attendees will learn how to register themselves, create Workspaces for proposals, and work within the system.

Two additional hour-long workshops for up to 50 participants will be held on:

  • Thursday, January 11 from 10:00 to Noon in the Geary Auditorium A of the New College Building on the Center City campus
  • Wednesday, February 7 from 10:00 to Noon in the Mitchell Auditorium in Bossone on the main campus
