Faculty Excellence & Academic Culture

Led by Vice Provost for Faculty Excellence and Academic Culture Leslie Ashburn-Nardo, PhD, the Drexel University Office for Faculty Excellence & Academic Culture encourages excellence through all phases of the faculty lifecycle and cultivates a welcoming and supportive academic culture. Core functions of the office include:

• Supporting, advancing, and developing faculty
• Encouraging evidence-based pedagogies that cultivate student belonging and engagement
• Overseeing policy and procedures for the entire faculty lifecycle across all schools and colleges (e.g., recruitment, mentoring, retention, promotion and tenure, recognitions, disciplinary actions, retirement)
• Promoting procedural justice in academic systems, policies, and practices
• Developing and disseminating educational resources to promote a culture of inclusion and belonging
