Following the recent announcement of Lucy Kerman’s retirement at the end of the month as Senior Vice Provost for University and Community Partnerships, the Provost’s Office is now accepting applications for her successor. This position will be responsible for advancing Drexel’s anchor mission as a civic University by overseeing a large portfolio of successful programs, including two centers and grant-funded initiatives in preK-12 public education, that promote community-based scholarship, neighborhood partnerships, economic inclusion, and access to educational and career opportunities.
Thank you for everything that you do for our students, partners and the Drexel community. I hope that you have a chance to enjoy the season and some well-deserved time away. Wishing you a wonderful break and a happy, healthy New Year!
In appreciation of your continued commitment, we are happy to announce the University will be closing at noon on Dec. 23. If you are a professional staff member who supports an area that requires you to work during this period, please communicate with your supervisor about managing your schedule. Professional staff affiliated with a collective bargaining unit should refer to their bargaining agreement for applicability. For information on how to record time off, please visit the Human Resources site.
