Summer Showcase

The Showcase is a celebration of STAR Scholars' research, scholarship, and creative work.

A STAR Scholar presents his research poster to a group of students.

STAR culminates with the STAR Scholars Summer Showcase, where STAR Scholars present their research, scholarship, and creative work.

Program Archives

Every year, Undergraduate Research & Enrichment Programs publishes a program booklet with the abstracts written by all STAR Scholars who successfully complete the program. Each booklet showcases the variety of projects each cohort completes and serves as a record of all students and faculty who have participated in the program.

Outstanding Mentors of the Year

2026 STAR Outstanding Mentor of the Year Wen-Jun Gao, MD, PhD, with STAR Scholar Dhanashri Balamurugan and co-mentor L. Taylor Flynn.

STAR faculty mentors routinely go above and beyond in their duties as mentors. Each year, Undergraduate Research & Enrichment Programs recognizes some of our best faculty mentors with the STAR Scholars Outstanding Mentor of the Year Award. STAR Scholars nominate their faculty mentors for the award and each nominee receives a letter signed by the Provost thanking them for their service.

Thank you to all of our STAR mentors for everything you contribute to the STAR Scholars’ experiences each summer!
