About
Welcome to the Pennoni Honors College at Drexel University.
Since the founding of the Honors Program at Drexel in 1991, Honors has been a vital presence on campus, developing into a self-standing College in 2003 and recently named one of the top 15 honors colleges in the United States.
The Pennoni Honors College has a range and depth of offerings unique among honors colleges in the country. Involvement with the College helps students become the best they can be: broadly educated, socially engaged, and culturally and intellectually fulfilled.
Our College is located in Bentley Hall, a student residence and living-learning community where students, faculty, and staff come together across disciplines to enrich each other through programming and educational opportunities.
The College sponsors initiatives that serve all Drexel students interested in pursuing excellence. Our Honors Program provides a unique opportunity to explore diverse topics and perspectives while meeting faculty and students outside of their majors and academic concentrations. Our Custom-Designed Major empowers highly motivated students to individualized courses of study not available through other majors, while our Symposium offers interdisciplinary courses to all students at Drexel.
We serve as the home for undergraduate student research opportunities, engaging students in the process of intellectual and self-discovery through collaborative research with faculty. We also help students build on their Drexel experience and prepare for their futures through fellowships advising and enrichment programming. These diverse offerings expose our students to a full spectrum of experiential learning, empowering them to make informed choices and motivating them to turn passions into opportunities.
We thank Gregory and Caroline Bentley, the Pennoni Advisory Board, Drexel alumni, and our donors for making our building and its programming possible. We also acknowledge our benefactor, Drexel alumnus and former interim Drexel President C.R. "Chuck" Pennoni, for helping make Honors an unparalleled site of innovation, creativity, and intellectual exchange.
