Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) Scholarships

The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) provides scholarships to students with financial need to study abroad. 

Students submit a single application to be considered for general FEA scholarships, partner scholarships for programs offered by specific study abroad program providers, and named and dedicated scholarships for specific population groups.

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DACA recipient
  • Be enrolled as an undergraduate at a U.S. institution of higher education at the time of application (graduate students are not eligible)
  • Receive credit at your home institution for the program or experience abroad
  • Be studying abroad for at least 14 days
  • Have not previously studied abroad for any length of time after your high school graduation
  • Have demonstrated financial need

FEA defines "financial need" as:

  • Your Student Aid Index (SAI) is below 20,000
  • You are eligible for a Pell Grant
  • You have taken out any amount of student loans for the current academic year

Please note: This award requires financial aid verification from Drexel Central due at the time of application. Contact fellowships@drexel.edu at least two weeks before the deadline for instructions on how to complete the necessary paperwork.
