Stress Balls, Gut Checks and Blood Pressure Tests: Photo Recap of Drexel’s 8th Annual Health & Wellness Fair
A steady stream of more than 300 employees visited Drexel University’s eighth annual Health & Wellness Fair for faculty and professional staff, held April 12 in the Recreation Center Lobby. With free healthy food samples, free mini-massages, blood pressure screenings and a “gut check” with Drexel Gastroenterology, there certainly was something for everyone.
New this year was a special presentation called “Hidden Features of Your Wellness Incentive Program.” This live demo, from Drexel’s partners at Health Advocate, was designed to let Dragons know how to best take advantage of the Wellness Incentive Program, which is open to all full-time and part-time faculty and professional staff who receive medical coverage through Drexel or participate in the medical waiver opt-out program.
During this “Hidden Features” presentation, Health Advocate offered insights about the many ways that faculty and staff can earn $400 back toward the cost of their medical insurance. All attendees also received a virtual tour of “Walk America,” Drexel’s first online fitness challenge in the Wellness Incentive Portal.
The Health & Wellness Fair is always an amazing opportunity for faculty and professional staff to speak with representatives from Fidelity, Vanguard, TIAA-CREF, Independence Blue Cross and Drexel physicians and health professionals.
Take a peek at what you missed this year and be sure to save the date for next year’s annual Health & Wellness Fair, which will be held in early April 2018.
