Kim is Drexel's vice provost for University and Community Partnerships. His research focuses on inclusive education, technology-centered learning and digital media technologies that will shape the future of entertainment, especially in the areas of sound and music. He is director of the Expressive and Creative Interaction Technologies (ExCITe) Lab and the Music and Entertainment Technology Laboratory (MET-lab).
