Building on the success of similar meetings last spring and at the 2012 launch of Drexel’s strategic plan, President John Fry is inviting faculty and professional staff to a series of strategic plan town halls beginning with a Nov. 6 event for University City Campus professional staff. The events are being billed as “A Conversation on Progress at Drexel.”
“Our strategic plan development and implementation owe their success to fruitful conversations we’ve had as a community,” said Fry in his invitation to the Nov. 6 event.
Previous town halls have featured wide-ranging two-way conversations between the president and attendees. For this fall’s meetings, the president will draw on strategic plan-related topics drawing the most interest from attendees based on an online survey taken when employees register for each event. Some town halls may include other administrators participating alongside Fry, although the formats are still being set.
The schedule for meetings is as follows. All events are from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by a reception. Employees of the Academy of Natural Sciences are encouraged to attend whichever event is most convenient for them.
• Nov. 6 for University City Campus professional staff (Behrakis Grand Hall)
• Nov. 18 at Queen Lane Campus for medical and health sciences faculty and professional staff (Auditorium B)
• Dec. 2 for University City Campus faculty and all Sacramento employees (Behrakis Grand Hall; remote for Sacramento at One Capitol Mall, Suite 260)
• Dec. 11 at Center City Campus for medical and health sciences faculty and professional staff (Geary B)
Each employee will receive an individual invite. To RSVP for a town hall or learn more about the strategic plan, visit drexel.edu/strategicplan.
