CELC Student Showcase

The Civic Engagement Leadership Certificate program empowers students to become thoughtful, collaborative leaders committed to social justice and meaningful social change. Through workshops, reflection, and community-based projects, students develop the skills and knowledge to address social issues, build partnerships, and lead with purpose. This showcase highlights the projects, insights, and experiences of students who are putting their civic engagement leadership into action and making a lasting impact on their campus and communities. Click on a project to read more about it.
The Children’s Hospital Eid Toy Drive brought the joy of Eid to hospitalized children and their families by partnering with CHOP, the Mayor’s Office of Muslim Engagement, student organizations, and community partners across Philadelphia to collect over 160 toys and launch CHOP’s first-ever Eid Toy Drive.
The project provided the dental component for 100 care kits distributed during the Lindy Center’s Dr. King Day of Service in partnership with the U.S. Dream Academy, promoting oral health education, preventive dental care, and health equity in the Philadelphia community.
A discussion-based resource inspired by the Lindy Center’s CIVC 101 curriculum, designed to spark meaningful conversations about civic engagement, social issues, identity, and community while fostering curiosity, reflection, and collective action.
