Daniel Borgia Supervising Attorney of the Criminal Litigation Clinic Contact Office: Email: daniel.j.borgia@drexel.edu Phone: Administrative Support: Biography Daniel Borgia works as an Assistant Defender for the Defender Association of Philadelphia and is the Supervising Attorney of the Criminal Litigation Clinic. Professor Borgia supervises students working as certified legal interns in the Clinic representing indigent clients. The Clinic covers many facets of handling a criminal case, including interviewing and counseling clients, investigation, preliminary hearings, pre-trial suppression motions, speedy trial issues, developing case theories, affirmative defenses, evidentiary issues, trial advocacy skills and techniques, negotiating with the opposing party, and sentencing issues. Before joining the law school faculty, Professor Borgia worked as an Assistant Defender for the Defender Association of Philadelphia handling criminal cases at every stage of the process. He also served as a supervisor for first-year attorneys in the Municipal Court Unit for several years.
