*The per credit hour rate does not apply to the Accelerated JD Program or the first semester of the 3-Year Summer Start program.
**There is no Law Program Fee for summer semesters, except for students in the 2-Year Accelerated JD Program.

‡ For students in the 3-Year Summer Start JD Program, the first summer, fall, and spring semesters comprise the first year of the program. Accordingly, tuition equivalent to two Semester Flat Rates is charged evenly across these three semesters. During the second and third years of the program, the standard Semester Flat Rate applies to each semester.

2-Year Accelerated JD Program

The 2-Year Accelerated JD (AJD) program allows students to earn their JD in two years by attending six consecutive semesters, including summer, fall, and spring semesters, without breaks between academic years. Students are charged the applicable flat-rate tuition for each of the six semesters.

3-Year Fall Start JD Program

The Traditional 3-Year JD program allows students to earn their JD over three academic years by attending six semesters of coursework during the fall and spring semesters. Students are charged the applicable flat-rate tuition for each semester.

3-Year Summer Start JD Program

3-Year Summer Start students begin the program in the summer and complete the full JD curriculum over seven semesters. During the first year, the summer, fall, and spring semesters are structured and billed as the equivalent of two semesters. Students are then charged the applicable flat-rate tuition for each of the remaining semesters in the program.

Global JD Program

Tuition for the Global JD program is assessed on a per-credit, per-semester basis based on the number of credits taken each semester.

LLM in American Legal Practice

The LLM in American Legal Practice is a semester-based master's degree program. Tuition is assessed on a per-credit basis each semester based on the number of credits taken.

Online LLM, MLS, and Certificate Programs

This information applies to the online LLM programs, online Master of Legal Studies, and online Legal Compliance Certificate programs. Tuition is charged on a per-credit basis and follows the University’s quarter academic calendar.

Cost of Attendance for Incoming First-Year J.D. Students

The Cost of Attendance (COA) represents the estimated educational and living expenses associated with attending law school during a specified enrollment period. Because program structures vary, COA budgets may be based on either a 9-month or 12-month period. Each budget includes allowances for tuition, fees, books, supplies, housing, food, transportation, and personal expenses and is used to determine a student's maximum eligibility for financial aid.
