On January 25, Professor Jordan Fischer was interviewed by NBC10 Philadelphia about the recent data breach at Einstein Health Network (Einstein), a private, non-profit healthcare organization based in Philadelphia.

With an estimated 350,000 patients impacted by the hack, Fischer recommends that individuals who are contacted by Einstein confirm with the company what personal data was potentially exposed to better protect themselves against fraud. Fischer also noted that 2020 had several large healthcare data breaches, and she expects the trend to continue in 2021.
