Universo Online, the largest Portuguese language news and communications portal, quoted Professor Robert Field in an article that explored health care models in different countries.

The article notes that health care costs in the U.S. vastly exceed those of other countries.

“It’s not a system that was planned, but a number of band aids which have been pasted over the years,” said Field, an internationally recognized authority on health policy and law.

Field is the author of “Mother of Invention: How the Government Created ‘Free-Market’ Health Care,” which was published in 2013 by Oxford University Press.
